POETIC LICENSES

   Sometimes, if rarely , there's Truth In The Noise ...More often, there's Deceit in the Quietude ...When Humans gather, in large raucous, leaping numbers... the machinations of Control are obfuscated by persistent flashing lights and blaring electronica......just the smallest percentage of humans view their millimeter-deepest, inward meditations....if any...and, even when they do,  usually seek the nodding company of others to 'join them' in the substantiation  of  their uncertainty, if only by the thick, hardened timbers of Religiosity and collusive, mutually-reinforcing Ideations.

Will Tom discover a Chocolate Jesus when he digs his fingers Way Down In The Hole while GOD's Away on Business ?

.........unedited.....though, tempted, I was, to write them 'better'.......reading the dozens of poems from my 'teen's' certainly reinforced my ideas about the transformativeness of the brain's abilities to express thinking constructs more accurately and clearly in later stages of 'maturity'....

After turning her house into a 'recording studio' with black light posters of Jimi Hendrix, and stacking all that sheet music for 'flute and orchestra' into a basement closet, still full of Cricket Shop Apparel.......'Eddie' was ' off ' ...make that ' on' . ....to meet Jean-Luc Ponty and collaborate with the Stinkfoot Orchestra....... tossing the 'written notes' of others and playing from her own Heart......driving 'away' from Buckhead with the sounds of the GTOs blasting from her car's open windows, whooshing around her erect , nail-extended,, purple-painted middle finger, saying 'Bye Bye Bye' to her 'Past Life'.. ...."Reincarnate here...and now.....there's no other place and time  to do it....and Time's a wasting....." There's some '   Permanent Damage' going on here, Miss Mercy ....  Let's make some casts and sculpt some protuberant memories of what the crowds really wa...

Once more, today...30 May....is NATIONAL CREATIVITY DAY.... .....few even vary the side of the bed they sleep on, or what they'll have for b'fast..stuck in their habitual routines....It's easy to develop habituations to which even the slightest change-ups produce anxiety......'Changing It Up' is how we progress, rather than dwell in Stasis....To challenge my curmudgeondom, I'm sleeping in 'another' bed tonight' eating foods that I've never had before, today; listening to unfamiliar music; wearing clothes that I've not worn in decades; driving the 'other' car....(that would take some 'jumping off', for sure)...but, there's an old bicycle, rusting in the garage.... to spark creativity and provoke my brain to think a bit differently......even if but for a day.....or, are we all just primates, addicted to the sameness of lazy conformity? Have an eggroll, Mr. Monkey.......there's plenty of bananas for tomorrow.....
