Last night, I dreamt that it was 1920's Paris, and a group of my friends.....they and I, in our twenties.......were hanging out around tables at Le Boeuf sur le Toit........a Ken Russell-ish scenario took form when Maurice Ravel brushed the goat's tail of Nijinsky, as The Faun, and Igor Stravinsky danced around an onstage firepit with Mistinguett and Josephine Baker, while cruising the other 'Apaches', sipping absinthe behind the curtains of a Production of a Cocteau/Picabia collaboration.......Suddenly, Dali entered with his surrealists retinue and, then, the entire Dream transformed into Rancho Notorious..... Marlene Dietrich, having shed her gorilla costume, went 'drag' in a gaybar contestation with Josephine, after snatching Baker's bananas and handing them over to an embarassed , blushing Les Six...now huddled beneath the long table, furtively accessing the Scenario for sleazy tabloid photographers.......Whenupon, I awakened, brow...asweat..........
